The Internet promises a revolution in the means of production and distribution of knowledge, a promise as yet only partially realized. This is why at CG Software we are working to expand social and technical frontiers, to make possible a transformation in learning and knowledge sharing, from bricks-and-mortar places to cyberspaces, and from elementary to higher education.

CG Software’s development of technologies for creating and vitalizing knowledge communities began over a decade ago, with innovative stand-alone applications that support academic journal and book publishing; academic conference management; and, eventually, lesson plan creation, sharing, and delivery. In 2009, we intensified our focus on learning technologies, to begin development of a transformative new media writing and assessment environment for grades 5-20 blended learning, to support teachers and students in school, out of school, and everywhere in between.
